Can we trust the media to keep their platforms
clean during elections? Will legislations change
to clean up our planet? During our current
climate of worldwide public outcry for
transparency and exposure of dirty play,
can the gender gap be cleared?

The domestic kitchen sponge is a motif to
explore the taboo that the domestic sphere
carries for some women in the workplace.
Colours from the Emirati sunsets and forms,
inspired by the beautiful yet impossible
abundance of water, float around to covertly
bring the female form to view.

There’s a teasing visceral mimicry of domestic
forms, licks of pink expand from a kitchen
splash back to support porcelain sponges that
await as tools for censorship or the cleanliness.
This erasure and absorption of colour stands
as both a command and request for equality and
exposure, Keep It Clean!

Last Year’s Crop
2019
The Salon at The Wing, London
Featuring Last Year's Crop
Despite their undeniable influence, female identifying artist have long faced the same exclusion and marginalization as they have in other industries. The works in the current exhibition in The Salon at The Wing stands as a statement to the power and creative force of these artists.
Curated by consultant and member Lolita Cros, the shows include over 300 artworks by 113 female artists. Similar to the warmth of a collector’s home, the viewer is privy to the unique experience of seeing fashion photographers and painters displayed alongside sculptors and illustrators. Bringing established, and up and coming artists together, Cros assembled the works to interact with each other, outside of the traditional hierarchy of the art world.
The show captures a dialogue between artist of varying ages, identities, and nationalities — reflecting the heterogeneity of The Wing’s mission and members. Breaking down the barrier between the art world and the everyday, The Salon creates a space for members and guests to engage with important personal, political, and societal issues through the lens of art.

Ripen At Home

2018Solo ExhibitionUnit 1 Gallery Workshop London

Ripen At Home looks at the brevity of the expression used to market fruit that is currently inedible alongside the footsteps taken in the passing of time towards the opportune moment or ripening of time. The domestic staple of the fruit bowl and it’s anticipated abundance is explored through a new body of paintings and sculpture that seek to lead us to imagine immaterial states inspired by the green that lurks at the bottom of the bowl, on an unspoken journey.

This painting series reflects in the melancholy and joy symbolised by veils and flowers. Both are present at weddings and funerals, accompanying us from one life to the next.

Out Of Season was a commission to respond to Angela Schanelec's film The Afternoon. The following monologue ruminated:'This afternoon I really wanted an ice cream. But while I was sitting there, I suddenly lost my appetite. It was a pity. I'd been so looking forward to it. I had already imagined it. The taste, the feeling on the tongue. Its softness and coldness. The warm taste of vanilla. I don't know why I didn't want one any more.'The original sculpture is from a series exhibited in the Ace Hotel London as part of Ceramic Arts London. The month-long exhibition featured Emma Corrall, Tamsin van Essen, Anja Lubach and Ian Mcintyre.

‘And the Horizon Was Dying Over the Tourist’ is an exhibition gathering new works by Maha Ahmed, Kristaps Ancāns, Emma Corrall and Nicola Lorini.
Curated by Federico Sargentone, the exhibition analyses the dynamics of contemporary nomadism and ubiquity through sculptural objects, paintings and forms of discourse that reside in the space between them.

I Will Take A Few Deep Breaths And Find A New Way Of Thinking About It
2017
VideoLength: 04.17 min Exhibited in a solo show titled 'I Left Enough Room For Dancing'Supported by Seongbuk Art Commons, Seoul

The work ‘I Will Take A Few Deep Breaths And Find A New Way Of Thinking About It’ explores the volatile nature of anticipating and planning for the future. Both hope and anxiety dwell beside whole-hearted plans for greatly awaited events. The video questions the desire to seek out travel plans and notions of idyllic palm trees alongside the quest for pursuing spiritual fulfillment. The work aims to address the idea of projecting your mind to a time where you will feel contentment. Source material for the choreography is often derived from yoga or the fitness industry, where individuals adopt a self imposed intensity through practice and repetition to ally ideas and goals more viscerally within their minds. The stability of habitual behaviour and the irrational nature of intuition are presented without hierarchy. The aim of refusing to qualifying or make a distinction between familiar routine and instinctual behaviour is to remove the sense of expectancy and to open up a new space without any pressure to perform. The soundtrack to this video is composed by Seayool Kim who confronts and explores the rarified nature of traditional Korean instruments.
